You can only do this in England and Wales. It saves a lot of paperwork and messing around, but the rules are quite strict. Bulk prescriptions may be written for medicines and dressings, including bandages. For Prescription Only Medicines (POMs), the rules are changing. Patients can now get some 'repeats' direct from the pharmacist without having to go to the doctor.
