Hypnotherapy
Pages 5

The name hypnosis comes from the Greek hypnos, meaning sleep. The definition of

hypnosis is the induction of a state in which a person’s normal critical or sceptical

nature is bypassed, allowing the acceptance of suggestions. It is a state of mind that

can occur naturally through daydreaming (while awake), or is established by com-

pliance with instruction.
