Endometrial Cancer

Introduction Endometrial cancer is the most common gynaecological malignancy in the developed world. It is largely a disease of postmenopausal women, with a median age of 65 years. About 75% of women with endometrial cancer are diagnosed with early-stage disease (Crowder & Santoso 2001), and the disease has a low mortality. The development of endometrial cancer is associated with high levels of circulating oestrogen.
