ABSTRACT
Parametric statistical analysis As mentioned earlier, items such as the mean or the standard deviation are known as parameters. Hence, any statistical analysis which relies on a connection between such parameters and the probability of events occurring, is called parametric statistics. For various reasons, parametric statistical analysis is only approporiate when we have quite large samples and a very large population - and even then, we cannot always use parametric approaches.
