ABSTRACT
As we have seen, dissociative convulsions or seizures (DS) are common, the diagnosis is often missed, and when it is, patients not only fail to receive appropriate treatment but are subject to unnecessary, costly15 and potentially harmful medical interventions. In considering the management of this disorder we will therefore focus on assessment and diagnosis before considering contemporary approaches to treatment.
