ABSTRACT
The Luscombe and Owens formula [Weight = (3 × age) + 7] probably reflects the actual weight in this country. It can be used over a larger age range (from one year to puberty) and allows a safe and more accurate estimate of the weight of children today and prevents underestimation and hence under-resuscitation.
