ABSTRACT
Oral cancer is one of the most debilitating and disfiguring of all malignancies. As a general dental practitioner (GDP), you are in the frontline of oral and dental care. It is your responsibility to prevent, diagnose and treat (or refer) dental and oral disease. You will manage this in two ways:
• reduction of risk through oral health education and • identification and management of suspicious lesions.
