ABSTRACT
The approaches of Deming-and-Goldratt are fundamental to making this shift away from silos. Deming-and-Goldratt themselves have presented their work in several books and multiple papers and seminars; in our opinion, their theories and findings represent for management what Quantum Mechanics in the 1920s has been for our understanding of the natural world: a paradigm shift. Moreover, albeit with mixed results, several authors over the years have labored to produce further elucidation on some of their topics.
