ABSTRACT

What is an organization? That may seem like an odd question, but it is the key to finding a solution for all the issues of management and leadership. When we don’t ask this kind of fundamental question, we fall into the trap of making the same assumptions that have always been made. We repeat the errors of the past. We can never overcome the dichotomy between parts and whole that we looked at in the previous chapters. Instead, if we can answer this question accurately, then we can understand both conceptually and on a practical, day-to-day level the most effective way to manage.
