Bariatric surgery is associated with lifelong nutritional deciencies, which can have deleterious eects on health and well-being. e malabsorptive procedures produced by the surgery is associated with deciencies in B vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K along with the minerals-zinc, magnesium, iron, and copper. ere is a great variability in the recommendation of dietary supplements despite the signicant eects on the surgical outcome and weight loss success.
