ABSTRACT
Introduction When most consumers are asked about what constitutes the retail industry, many will refer to stores where clothing, electronics, and other like items are sold. One area that is usually overlooked is the restaurant industry. As previously discussed, there is a difference in certain restaurant chains as some fall under the company ownership umbrella and others are franchised. With some restaurant chains, companies have both owned and franchise locations.
