chapter
a: Dementia
Pages 4

Dementia is a general progressive deterioration in memory and thinking, caused by several different types of brain disease. It affects mainly older people, usually aged over 65 years. As the brain is important for everything that we do (remembering, talking, working things out, planning, and making choices), older people with dementia become more and more disabled, and need more and more help and support, even with simple tasks.
