ABSTRACT

During my childhood years, my parents instilled the concepts that lying, cheating, stealing, being rude to others, telling untruths to get ahead, and backstabbing were all inappropriate behaviors. Once I reached adulthood and entered the working world in the early 1980s, I was surprised that in some business situations, ethical conduct often seemed questionable. Of course, this was many years ago, and the dynamics of the workforce and how professionals act have dramatically changed.
