ABSTRACT

Now that you have a sense of shot selection to dramatize story action, create a short storyboard sequence using the blank frames that follow. Taking your best shot at storytelling, share a significant moment in your own life-as if you were going to film it. Your story can be happy, sad, frightening, hilarious, indeed anything that has been especially significant to you. Select and draw your shots wisely and frame each image in accordance with everything you’ve learned throughout this book. Ultimately, you should be able to defend and justify every shot or framing choice you make, as you would need to do in a professional context anyway. (Note: There is no time limit to this exercise, although each frame should still be created with speed drawing sketching techniques.)
