ABSTRACT
The use of fluorescence spectroscopy is widespread and is not specifically aimed at the nanoscale world. However, the combination of fluorescence tools with microscopy tools has proven extremely useful in the domain of nanobiotechnology where the fluorescence provides exquisite sensitivity and the microscopy provides high spatial resolution allowing studies of individual molecules or nanoparticles and their behavior.
