ABSTRACT

While there is no universally accepted model whereby LTD in the corticonuclear microcomplex might result in motor learning at the animal level (Massaquoi and Topka, 2002), it has been assumed from its stereotyped modular structure that the cerebellum performs the same type of basic computation on whatever inputs it receives and informs all its various eerent targets of the results of such computation, similarly. If dierent areas of the cerebellum dier in function, they do so by virtue of their diering inputs and outputs.
