ABSTRACT

As history shows, Marketing has changed because people change. Business will continue to learn more about the people who buy their products and services and they will change. At the micro level, the popularity of social media will continue to change. Like other communications before, social media has gained enough mass and adoption and will remain a channel. As long as people and business use social media, it will remain part of the integrated communications plan. The Facebook and LinkedIn and Twitter of today were the MySpace, Plaxo, and AOL of yesteryear. Satellite Marketing always starts with identifying the goals. Communications planning will provide the roadmap of what to do and when to do it. Building models- a week, a month, and a year- will map actions to goals and insures one's activity on social media is purposeful.
