ABSTRACT
This is the moment to move from the whole patient and delve down into the tissues, cells and molecules. We have to assume that you are familiar with the basics of genetics, molecular biology and cell biology, and so we won’t cover these in detail but will remind you of some key concepts, terminology or interesting examples in ‘basic biology boxes’. To begin gently, we will consider Mendel and his pea experiments.
