ABSTRACT

A 25-year-old man from Poland is referred following a routine blood test that shows an abnormality on the clotting screen. He is fit and well and on no medication. He has had three dental extractions which have all been uneventful. He recalls that his sister was diagnosed with haemophilia some years ago in Poland. The sister is now in her late 20s and has had two children without any bleeding complications. As far as he knows, the sister has not had any bleeding symptoms.
