ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in this book. The book aims to guide aspiring interactive storytellers through the fragmentation of the theoretical construction of what they understand and defines as a story. It talks about understanding a story as part of language, constructed of not only words but also ideas, thoughts, and structures that create emotional associations in the audience, whether for cathartic entertainment purposes or deliberate, targeted purposes. The book explains about media and the use of that media in creating stories. Art, images, drawings, sculpture, Instagram selfies, radio, sound effects, and music were all explored as extensions of storyteller's senses of hearing and eyesight. The book outlines the most prolific and common form of interactive entertainment, games, and how storyteller's desire to craft a story can be intertwined with gameplay and gameplay mechanics. It also explores all aspects of both gameplay genres and narrative devices.
