ABSTRACT

Being a good functional storyteller means that people can take a set of objective parameters and devise a story that can fulfill that function. Objective-based storytelling occurs all the time in the world of marketing and advertising, where behavior modification for a very targeted demographic is the desired result. In the past decade, there has been a tremendous push from the viewing of a single, self-contained film, to a multitiered, multiepisodic format of storytelling. Story-based podcasts are becoming popular, based on the original podcast Serial, in which the format became popularized. Construct a story for children with the intended objective goal to impart unto them the wisdom of saving for a rainy day, or keeping things in reserve for some future date at which point they might need it. The intended goal is to make them understand the principle of prudence and that forgoing immediate gratification can improve some future point in time for them when they are in need.
