ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the knowledge system and learning materials of R. The mathematical and statistical calculations and visualization of continuous distribution functions were implemented using R in this chapter, which helps to understand the R language and quickly handle calculating problems in basic disciplines. R is a statistical language, mainly used in aspects including mathematical modeling, statistical computing, data processing, and data visualization. The R language is inherently different from other programming languages. It encapsulates the calculating functions of various basic disciplines. IT technique is one of the essential skills in the computing era and the R language. R language supports the finance business as well with packages such as time series packages, financial analysis packages, risk management packages, and so on. The basic knowledge of mathematics contains elementary mathematics, advanced mathematics, linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, and so on. R is a language of statistics, whose foundation is the probability theory.
