ABSTRACT
The greatest disadvantage of using time study and developing MTM standards is that the application of the principle requires minute observation of each motion necessary to perform each operation . Therefore, it is only suitable in the case of short and highly repetitive operations . The time required to study and analyze each operation can easily be equal to several hundred times the amount of time required to actually perform the operation itself . It is highly time consuming and expensive to develop a time standard .
