ABSTRACT

This chapter provides engineers and designers to take advantage of the design tools that are available in SolidWorks and to extend their understanding of this robust and flexible computer-aided design package beyond merely shape design. There are two ways of using the Toolbox. There are many ways to access the Toolbox once it is added in, through the SolidWorks Command Manager or through the Design Library. More features are available to the user when the Toolbox is accessed in the Design Library. The chapter discusses some of the SolidWorks Toolbox features that are accessed through the Command Manager and present an overview of the SolidWorks Toolbox features that are accessed through the Design Library. The chapter focuses on giving the engineers and designers an in-depth understanding of the SolidWorks Toolbox/Design Library, which is extremely useful in practice for designers. SolidWorks software is useful for creating different types of standard mechanical parts.
