ABSTRACT

A 75-year-old Caucasian woman with a history of osteoarthritis presents to the clinic with a 3-month history of an exquisitely painful, non-healing nodule on the right antihelix, which prevents her from sleeping on her right side. She has tried warm compresses and antibacterial ointment but has not had any relief from her symptoms. On examination, there is an erythematous papule with central ulceration on the right mid-helix of the ear (95).
