ABSTRACT

Ingrown nail is a common disorder in children and adults. The treatment of choice for ingrown nail has long been surgical due to the misunderstanding of its pathophysiology. Currently, discussion regarding the controversies of invasive vs. noninvasive treatment is a hot topic in pediatric ingrown nails.1 Now is the time to uncover and reconsider some of these issues.
