ABSTRACT

Change may be considered as a transition from a state to a desired state. Change management involves exploration of three main aspects: People, Organisational, culture and Processes. People are crucial in any change management initiative. The Kubler-Ross model provides the basis for the stages of transition seen in change. This model provides a good basis for understanding how people deal with change. Understanding processes and their improvement is an integral part of change management. Every company, big or small, would like to change for the better. Change is important for any organisation. The chapter reviews useful methods for successfully implementing change into an organisation. Organisational culture is a system of shared meaning held by members that distinguishes the organisation from other organisations. Organisational culture determines the codes of conduct within an organisation whilst making employees feel like they belong to the company.
