ABSTRACT

Renal medicine for the MRCP is usually given a lot of weight. This is because there is a lot to examine, including basic glomerular and tubular disorders, infections of the kidney (and particularly reflux nephropathy), stone formation, acute and chronic renal failure, hypertension and renal problems in pregnancy, the effects of drugs on the kidney, and the different types of dialysis modalities and their complications (including problems with immunosuppression) — in relation to ‘renal replacement therapy‘.
