ABSTRACT
Acquired brain injury, substance use and mental health problems frequently occur together. People with this mix of problems present clinicians, health and social service managers and at times the criminal justice system with a range of challenges. All three types of condition, acquired brain injury, mental disorder and substance use problems, affect emotions, cognitions and behaviour. The management of the different health concerns is highly interdependent.
