ABSTRACT
Epididymo-orchitis is inflammation and swelling of the epididymis and testis (epididymitis – inflammation of epididymis; orchitis – inflammation of testis) due to infection or trauma. The condition may occur unilaterally or bilaterally. The epididymis is a tightly coiled tube on the posterior side of each testis that transports spermatozoa to the vas deferens. The condition usually occurs in young men.
