Variable values transformed to have a zero mean and unit variance. A Z-score is a type of standardisation used in statistical calculations, e.g. in Jarman’s index of deprivation or Townsend’s index of deprivation. See Jarman’s index of deprivation; Townsend’s index of deprivation.
