Digital libraries The concept of the ‘digital’ or ‘virtual’ library has been around for a couple of years. Depending on who you talk to, the digital library can be a method of electronic access to materials or can include the digitisation of classic works or treasures. As an example of the present thinking on digital libraries I have included the British Library’s current approach on the subject.
