ABSTRACT
The adage ‘Children are not small adults’ may sound trite, but must be considered when performing any investigation on a child. Anatomy and physiology change with age, and this is important when interpreting results. Four investigations which are more commonly performed in paediatric practice have been selected for discussion in this chapter.
