ABSTRACT
This chapter highlights some of the important areas about illegal drug abuse that GPs encounter in their everyday work. Chapter 4 gives advice on suitable training courses and how practices might provide enhanced or advanced services for people with drug abuse problems. Abuse of prescribed drugs is covered in Chapter 11.
