ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about the Case Study A Rhondda Medical Group. It shows how to identify and create effective management structures. The chapter discusses the importance of coherent teamworking through managing and communicating across professional groupings. It examines how to achieve explicit standards and accountability – governance. Rhondda Medical Group is a four-doctor partnership working in a large industrial town, serving a population of 7000 people, mainly employed by three large factories on the outskirts of the town. The partners form a strong, cohesive group and obviously like and respect each other. They are all generally open-minded and seem willing to both listen and learn.
