ABSTRACT

This chapter applies equally well to teachers themselves and to learners. These days of frequent change and upheaval in the health service provide many opportunities for health professionals and managers to expand or change the direction of their careers. The games, activities and learning techniques which complete the chapter should enable teachers and learners of any level of seniority to benefit through feedback from other participants whilst they are practising via role play in a non-threatening learning environment. One's CV must: be well organised so that the reader's strengths are well presented; be clear and understandable with no spelling mistakes; be of appropriate length for the position – usually no longer than two to three sides of A4 paper; and others. The interviewing panel will be looking for someone who: is confident but not arrogant; is pleasant and able to fit in within the workplace setting; is energetic; is motivated; and some other skills.
