ABSTRACT

Conditioning’s objectives are to remove undesirable materials from the seed, so that the final product is pure, high-quality seed. In the conditioning operations, different separating machines are used to remove specific undesirable seed and materials from a lot of seed. This process creates a fraction of material termed ‘waste products’ that are not sold as seed. This material may be used as livestock feed, or it may be disposed of by burning or by dumping in a waste disposal area.
