ABSTRACT

A seed conditioning plant must receive raw (nonconditioned, or uncleaned) seed as it is harvested by contract growers and then refine the seed until it consists solely of good crop seed that are mature, undamaged, and alive and that when planted are capable of producing healthy vigorous plants of the desired crop and variety. Every operation within the plant must be designed and implemented in a manner that maintains the purity and condition of the seed, without damage or weakening.
