ABSTRACT
By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination. There were many job satisfactions of bringing the best out of others moving forward with new discoveries and seeing students get their degrees, be they BSc, Masters or PhDs. But something was missing. By coincidence, there was a less and less chance to win research grants; one in three had become one in four had become one in five. The sabbatical is a wonderful institution of academic life and from which a concerted development of one’s lab and analysis skills can be transformed.
