The suggestion to collect a Loan Fund for the Training of Young Women as a permanent Memorial of Miss Helen Blackburn, was made first by Miss Catherine Drew, and was so warmly taken up that, when a Preliminary Cornmittee was called on February 4, 1904, a sum of £46 lls. had already been subscribed.
