ABSTRACT

At 10.30 on November 8, the members were w~l­ comed in the large hall by the Hon. Mrs. Maclagan, the wife of the Archbishop, who reminded her heare:r:s of the important part taken by women in the establishment of Christiamty in that part of England, of which there are still tokens in the numbers of Churches in Yorkshire dedicated to St. Helena, the mother of Constantine, and St. Hilda, the famous Abbess of Whitby.
