ABSTRACT

The chief event of the quarter as regards Women's Suffrage has been the great meeting in Queen's Hall, on J une 27 to welcome the Delegates to the International Council of Women.

It was a meeting to recall those great demonstrations held in 1880-81 when the approach of the Bill to enfranchise the agriculturallabourers had sent fresh impetus through the Suffrage movement, and Miss Becker inaugurated the series of demonstrations by the venture of a great gathering of women in the Free Trade Hall, Manchester.
