ABSTRACT

The recent election as a vice-president of the Institute of Journalists, of a lady who has been, we believe, longer engaged on professional journalism than any other press woman still in active service, adds another sign of the welcome journalists are ready to accord to competent co-operation from women. With Miss Frances Power Cobbe an honorary fellow, Miss Drew a vice-president, the institute recognises the services of its elder workers, and with over sixty women as members and associates holds out a friendly hand to. the younger generations of the profession.
