ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we examine the three main technological impacts on policing. The first impact provides the reader with a historical perspective of policing and explains how law enforcement theory is blended with our collective experiences. We discuss how technology has changed over the years and examine its overall impact on the way law enforcement serves the public, solves problems and prevents crime.
