ABSTRACT
Parametric tests such as the t-test make certain assumptions about the measure being analysed. Many require that the data being analysed be independent of each other and have a normal distribution in the population. If the assumptions are not met, then modified versions of the parametric tests or non-parametric tests should be employed.
