ABSTRACT
The Association gives two certificates for proficiency in housework-one of a more elementary, one of' a more scientific degree of proficiency;and has a Training College at Riverdale, Newnham-on-Severn. This waa opened in March, 1888, being the outcome of a smaller experiment made by Miss Headdon, and has three departments, one for students of housewifery, one for upper and middle-class girls, with a hous.ewifery dejlartment attached to the ordinary branches of teaching, and one for training of girls for service.
