ABSTRACT
TilE debate in the House of Representatives of the United States on the Bill for the admission of Wyoming as a State, which took place on March 26th and 27th, turned very largely on the sixth Article, which provides that" the rights of citizens of the State of Wyoming to vote and bold office shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex,'' a'nd ·that "both male and female citizens of this State shall equally enjoy -all -civil, political and religious rights and principles."
