ABSTRACT

Due to the growing interest in social network activity, massive volumes of user-related data and a new area of data analysis have emerged. The data warehouses are used to support decision-making activities in a system of business intelligence to guarantee the structure and analysis of multidimensional data. The data are presented in the form of simple data marts (star schema), involving the well-identified collection of facts and dimensions.

In this chapter, we propose a novel approach to design data warehouses from data marts using a descriptive statistical technique for the analysis of multidimensional data in the principal components analysis (PCA) in the medical social network.
