ABSTRACT

A sick fund for teachers and women similarly situated has also been opened by the Society. The conditions of membership have been arranged by Mrs. Elizabeth Nystrom, and carefully revised by Professor Rosen. · A special committee has been appointed to help in

home studies. Many pamphlets have also been issued by the Association, among others, "Industries for Swedish Women," "Married Women's Property," and "Are Women liable to bear Arms!" by Esselde. Among the objects which the Society will especially seek to forward this spring is the establishment of scholarships or foundations to give pecuniary assistance to female students, and many subscriptions have been received expressly for this pUTpose.
