" I do not know whether there is any precedent for appointing a woman on a .Royal Commission, but if not the precedent ought now to be established, or certainly the inquiry, so far as it relates to the education. of girls, will be incomplete and unsatisfactory.-Your obedient servant, EDMUND H.
